An Overview of LINA
To create
LINA, we started with traditional virtualization solutions, building on
existing strengths and creating new ones:
LINA is invisible to the
end user. The LINA virtual operating system comes without a
graphical user interface. LINA runs as invisibly as Java does.
LINA is integrated into
the underlying operating system. The kernel resource mapper
gives LINA applications transparent access to the network, file system,
and other resources of the host OS.
LINA enables native look
and feel. By mapping Linux GUI calls to their corresponding
native GUI calls, LINA applications appear identical to the native
applications running on the user's operating system.
