Hi Robin,

I just joined the list so I'm responding a bit late and out of thread. 

Are you compiling on CYGWIN? Assuming the answer is yes, I can compile on CYGWIN using automake v. 1.10 and autoconf v. 2.61. LINA does not compile on mingw at this time, nor are there plans to support mingw in the future. 

I'm currently using CYGWIN on Windows Business Server 2003. I have also successfully compiled on Windows XP in the past. 

On a side note, Windows has our least tested build at the moment because we have just completed a *massive* migration away from CYGWIN dependencies in our binaries. While the build should work, I'm about to start stress testing Windows 2003, Windows XP and Windows Vista compilations to find potential trouble spots arising from this migration. Linux and Mac OS X, which did not need to migrate, are currently much more stable.
